Saw this news today and thought I'll share about this insanely cheap deal.
Fly to London for $199 all inclusive?!? Apparently now possible on Norwegian Air Shuttle! #dayretravel #dayretravels
According to ST, flights will run 4 times a week and 5 during the winter season, with over 300 seats per flight.
I've never been to London so I thought I'll try booking!
Huh bluff me, where got $199?? I scrolled all the way until the end (March 2018) of available fares and still didn't see any $199.
The cheapest I saw was $232, so I've really no idea where the ST journalist saw $199 from. Eh don't cheat my feelings leh 🙁
But okay la $232 still quite a good deal?! Let's check the return flight.
$262 – $391 range for flying back in December. Quite okay leh!
Total $471 ish to fly from Singapore to London and back? TAKE ME!!!!
Mine's in SGD guys. Not USD or euros.
OH NOW THEN THEY HAVE $199. Is it because consumers complain then they change, or they release different fares at different times like what many airlines do?
But my LowFare now for the same trip is $519.80 instead of the $471 I got earlier when the SG to London flight was $232 😑
Anyway SGD 519 for a return trip to London is still dirt cheap k so no arguments there!
Okay but WAIT. $239 option is under their LowFare, which doesn't come with meals onboard or checked luggage, and I don't get to select my seat.
I can live without seat selection and checked luggage (hubby and I backpacked around Italy for our honeymoon and loved it heh. Had check-in luggage option for our return flight but in the end we didn't even use it!), but
I CANNOT SIT THROUGH A 14 HOUR FLIGHT WITH NO FOOD
I need my onboard meals okay when I fly anything longer than 5 hours #dayrefatties and I don't wanna pack a lunchbox or dabao a McDonald meal to smuggle onboard just to save the money. I want the flight stewardess to serve me food and drinks on such a long flight!!!
This then bumped the total up to $561 where I get to choose my seats, eat and drink onboard, and also check in one luggage!
It'll be nicer if I could choose for each of these 3 add-ons instead of having it bundled together, but an airline gotta do what it can to earn money too, so I don't mind!
$561 REALLY NOT BAD WAHHHH JUST TAKE MY MONEYYYYYY ALREADY 💰
HALF PRICE of what the other airlines for offering!!!!!! 😱😱😱
I love flying SQ but if it comes at $1200 more then I'll rather take Norwegian Air and spend the savings on food and shopping in London instead!!!
But my cousin brought up a really good point that this cheaper flight by Norwegian doesn't stop at Heathrow, the main airport in London. So I'm gonna go check how much transport will cost me.
Next cheapest flight also at least more than double the price of Norwegian. Hard to beat such a good deal!!
(the $719 here is via Norwegian also)
I've never been to London so I don't know where tourists usually stay or hang around when they're there, anyone can advise? But anyway I checked and National Express offers coaches from Gatwick to Heathrow for 18 to 25 euros! The ride is about an hour plus.
So if I were to take Norwegian, I could buy a 18 Euro ticket to Heathrow once I land (there's a 11 Euro option also but gotta hang around airport for 1+ hours waiting so no thanks).
I can save $700 – $1000+ by opting for Norwegian, and it only costs me max. 25 euros to get to Heathrow where the other airlines typically land in.
Which means… MORE MONEY FOR SHOPPING!! #dayreshopaholics really not bad sia!!!
Tip : book direct with Norwegian for cheaper fares!
I used skyscanner, Expedia and cheapoair and the flights for Norwegian on the same date were slightly more expensive by a few hundred? Not sure why.
So ya, it seems like booking direct will be cheaper!
So in summary,
1. Fly to London cheap on Norwegian (LowFare+)
2. Take 2 to 25 euros bus to Heathrow / city centre.
😢😢 showed the promo to my husband but he said he doesn't like Europe, so boring, and he's not keen on the idea of this trip.
WAI YOU LIKE THAT 😭😭 got Harry Potter studios, got Matilda theatre shows, and and and…
Guys help gimme more reasons to convince my husband leh haha

Unilever PUNKS INFLUENCERS!!
Haha y'all must watch this video guys! Best 2 minutes of my life today!!
That's why I don't really have much loyalty to brands but rather product-brand loyalty! As in, for specific products I have brands I'm loyal to and tend to repurchase, whereas I don't stay loyal to the brand across their whole product offerings.
Okay if that's confusing lemme illustrate with an example. I LOVE my Za foundation, the same one @xiaxue raved about yearsssssss ago (thank you Xiaxue for introducing this!). I used to switch around other brands, but none work as well as Za does on my skin, so I've been repurchasing it every single year since…maybe 2011? I forgot. There are cheaper foundations but I'll rather pay for Za's cos it works #dayremakeup
But that doesn't mean I buy all their other makeup products, or even skincare!
My current blusher is from Too Faced, which I really love cos it's such a pretty palette, but I don't know if I love it enough to repurchase yet. Anyway I've another BN Dior blusher that is waiting for me to use after I finish this one too! My previous blusher was from Mac but while I felt like it was not bad, it wasn't super duper good to the extent that I'll buy again once I was done with it.
(Actually I never finished it…it expired. Mac's blushers have a shelf life of 1 – 2 years.)
#letstalkmakeup
I have yet to find a HG blusher that I can safely stay loyal to yet. Any recommendations? Same goes for the other makeup items. Actually other than my Za foundation I really have no other makeup product-brand loyalty lol.
