Tips for Taobao's Singles Day!
Any Taobao fan worth her salt will know 11.11 aka Taobao's Singles Day!
Similar to Black Friday in the U.S., Singles Day is the biggest online sale for China retailers, who offer up to 90% on their products during this special 24 hours! #taobao #dayreshopping
Taobao is already starting their promos for Singles Day!
Apparently it seems like Maybank credit cards are the preferred payment option across Taobao. They must be running some kind of tie-up?
Unfortunately, I've never gotten the chance to maximise previous 11.11 discounts because it always fell on a weekday when I'm stuck at work.
Who has time to play fastest fingers first and chiong for Taobao sales when your boss is watching you 😒
Tip: Start adding items to your cart BEFORE 11 Nov
A lot of the stores sell out really quickly on 11.11 because of so many people shopping all on the same day! Thus, to be quick and avoid having the items you're lusting after be gone to another shopper, you should definitely start adding them to your cart now so you can check out in minutes on the actual day.
I'm using SGShop (as I want someone to check my goods at the China warehouse before shipping over to SG). They've also gone one step further this year in offering preorders for 11.11!
Tip: Prepare alternatives (colours or size) just in case the item you want is sold out!

Tip: Subscribe to the store / website got updates on promos or voucher codes!
Most companies share promos and vouchers with those on their mailing list – Zalora, Scoot, Jetstar, ASOS etc. By subscribing, you'll be in the know about all the latest promos that you can take advantage of! Such as free service fees days, free shipping, etc.

If you spend more than $300 for instance, you can get back some cash rewards on SGShop. While it may be hard for one person to chalk $300 at one shot (especially if you're not a #dayrebride or #dayrehome shopping), you can still hit the amount if you share with a few friends!
